Your Smart Home Wants to Eat You (Inhabitant Zero,Design / Research Residency, 2017)

A commission to undertake a design and research residency  organised by Andreas Angeliakas, as part of the Kalejdohill project in Stockholm. The residency considered issues surrounding domestic data collection, home automation and the ‘Internet of Things’. Based in a traditional  timber Swedish home, it involved making 3D scans of  both local Jarfalla residents and all objects within the house, using a process called photogammentry. The resulting 3d models were mashed together to create utopian/dystopian scenarios and exhibited using a series of site specific film projections throughout the house. As part of the design residency, workshops were run teaching local school children to 3D scan using their cameras.
