I am an architect, writer and doctoral researcher in the Department of Media, Communications and Cultural Studies at Goldsmiths, University of London. My PhD project explores the abstract spatial thinking associated with the technologies underpinning ‘computational capitalism’. It does so through a materialist critique of both digital architectural design processes and platforms, the former being used to situate the latter. More broadly, my research focuses on digital culture and its wider entanglements with histories of capitalist modernity, technological development, architecture and urbanisation. I have explored this in writing for Failed Architecture, Avery Review, Real Life Mag, Architectural Review, ICON and Jacobin and through art residencies and exhibitions. My work has been included at the Venice Architecture Biennale (2018 and 2021), the Ljubljana Biennial of Design (2020) and the London Design Festival (2018). I am based in London and teach the BA Architecture course at the University of Westminster.
